DAVID SCOTT- DONELAN
January 1, 1941 - December 27, 2023

Our beginnings start with David Scott-Donelan. David shared his extensive tracking knowledge by conducting hundreds of classes World-Wide over his 50+ year career. Unsurpassed in operational and training experience he developed what is now known as "Modern Combat Tracking" which combines both “stone age and space age” components into a formidable and essential tool for Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, and Search and Rescue applications.
Since 1987, at least 95%, if not all, of the companies/instructors in the United States (and a few overseas) that teach tactical, or combat tracking were trained by David Scott-Donelan or by other instructors trained by him.
David was not only widely recognized as a master instructor within the tracking community at large, but also holds a place of esteem amongst his past students and instructors.

My Story

I began, as many, a student of David Scott-Donelan. I gained my operational experience within the Law Enforcement community. I quickly became an instructor with the first company David started, Tactical Tracking Operations School. Upon departure from this company in 2010, he started his second company, Scott Donelan Tracking School (SDTS). It was with David and SDTS where I traveled across the United States and around the world teaching David's ideology of tracking. After being with David for almost 25 years, I had to say goodbye to my mentor and best friend in December 2023 as he follows his last trackline.
On Track Tracking School (OTTS) will continue to teach the David Scott-Donelan ideology in tracking and provide professional tracking training for Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, and Search and Rescue applications. OTTS also offers tailored courses for outdoor enthusiast who want to go further than the beaten "track."

All our tactical tracking classes are structured on the possibility that fugitives from justice may be prepared to use deadly force to prevent capture, and "Officer Safety" measures are integral to the program.

Tactical Man Tracking Level 2  (TMT-02)

TMT-02 is a logical continuation of the skills learned during the Level 1 class. This 5 day (40+ hrs.) course involves instruction and practiced exercises in typical and unique tracking scenarios, which could be encountered by Law Enforcement and Correctional trackers in the field.
